I love meal prepping homemade granola to eat throughout the week. As I mentioned and showed in my Housewife Diary Vlog, you can use different spices and fruits to enjoy different flavors throughout the week. In the fall season, I used apples, cinnamon and pumpkin spice seasoning for the granola.
In this Housewife Diary, I'm using an all around favorite, strawberries & blueberries.
This recipe is simple & cost effective. I love saving money by making granola at home. I can measure how much sugar I want to use and I use all organic ingredients.
3 cups of of rolled oats
1/2 a cup of maple syrup
1/2 a cup of honey
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 cup of melted coconut oil or olive oil
Dash of sea salt
3 strawberries, chopped
handful of blueberries, halved
other great toppings
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Heat maple syrup, honey, vanilla extract, cinnamon, oil and sea salt in a small saucepan on low heat.
Once heated, add in oats and combine.
Cut fruits and mix with oats.
Evenly spread contents onto a parchment-lined tray.
Bake for 20 minutes. Flip halfway through.
Enjoy with a smoothie bowl, yogurt parfait, or with a bowl of milk.
Be sure to watch the Housewife Diary Vlog to see me make this delicious treat.
