FAVORITE OUTFIT OF THE WEEK @ChriselleLim This is my favorite outfit of the week. Chriselle Lim showed us a feminine fall look by wearing a modest floral high-neck dress. She paired the soft and flowy floor-length dress with a black beret and black leather boots. The Victorian style is back in trend, so this high-neck, modest style dress is a perfect example of the timeless style. For the chillier fall days, I would throw on a classic cardigan or lightweight trench coat. I am in love with this look from the hair to the outfit. Let's start off with the hair. I am in love with her braids and for this season I am eager to have my hair braided too. To me, the braids really take the show. @iamdodos_style paired her 2-piece black satin tank and skirt set with a pair of chic gold earrings. The outfit is chic, simple and romantic. 3. @paoloa_cossentino This last ensemble has a charming fall Parisian feel. I love how Paoloa contrasted a silky black midi dress with a warm orange pea coat and matching beret. The small details like her bold and classic red lipstick and matching nail polish, truly completes the ensemble. I've been carrying around this handbag for years now. This is my go-to purse. I wear this when I'm going shopping, going out for brunch or going to the grocery store. This style is one of Tory Burch's best-sellers and for good reason. It's a feminine, chic and structured bag that is bound to fit in well with any lady's wardrobe. It comes in multiple colors, like black, gray, cream, red, yellow, and the list goes on and on. In the past, the purse has came in seasonal colors like navy, blush pink, white and floral. Today I'll be sharing my full HONEST review on this gorgeous bag along with a pros & cons list. THE PROS Convertible strap I love the fact that I can wear this purse as a shoulder bag or a crossbody. This makes this bag very versatile for various occasions. When I'm moving around, like putting groceries in my car, I simple adjust the strap into it's long form and wear it as a crossbody. Its a simple feature, but its most practical and very convienant. For those more dressy formal occasions, I wear this purse as a shoulder bag. Spacious Interior If you watched my video, you'd see this purse holds A LOT! I can fit my planner, makeup pouch, AirPods, long wallet, TWO I-phones in there and then some. I can also add in my kindle tablet too! You can hold your everyday essentials without feeling like you have to compromise. This is a medium-size purse, a bit on the smaller medium side, and its travel-friendly and everyday life-friendly. Suitable for Multiple Occasions This is truly the perfect size and perfect style. Wear this on a casual lunch date or on a romantic date night out. Wear this in the office or to the grocery store. The strap makes this purse so versatile and the size allows it to be very practical. This purse's style is feminine, chic and a style booster to any lady's wardrobe. It's a no-brainer choice for me when I'm picking out an outfit for an event or running errands for the day. Large Back Pocket This large back pocket might as well be the best thing since sliced bread. Its FUNCTIONAL and still visually appealing. This pocket runs deep and often times, it eats my spare change and face masks. I can fit both of my I-phone XR and my I-phone 8 in this pocket. It's very useful for storing phones, AirPods, lip balms, or other purse necessities that you take in and out throughout the day. Oh, if only every purse could have a back pocket like this one . Let's Chat About The Downsides... THE CONS Tricky to Close As much as I LOVE the space and functionality of this purse, the one thing it lacks is an easy-to-use closing. Its not every time, be every OTHER time, I have to close this purse, it gives my problems :( It has a magnetic closure, which is great, but it you don't get the positioning just right, then it will not close properly. Often times, I have to stop what I'm doing and concentrate on closing my purse properly. This can be quiet frustrating especially since I like my everyday purses to be low-maintaince and convienant. Its easy to open, but it can be tricky to close as times. I will mention that my purse isn't the latest edition of the Fleming bag. Tory Burch released a newer version of this purse in 2020. I haven't taken a good look at the newer versions in person, but I really hope the closure has been improved since this bag is truly a favorite. (I will update you once I get a chance to view it in person!) Scratches This bag does take a beating in scratches. Whether its from your keys or fingernails, it will get small, micro or big scratches. Luckily, in certain light, the scratches doesn't not show. In my thumbnail, my picture is unedited so you'll be able to see the scratches on it. They are NOT VERY NOTICEABLE in real life. I have long nails, so the back pocket has definitely taken a beating from me frequently reaching in and out of it. I do plan on getting a leather conditioner to give my darling purse a face lift. Weight Issues This is much less of a con. With ANY PURSE, if you OVERSTUFF it, it will reach it's weight limit before it begins to deform or have carrying issues. Again, this purse fits A LOT. When I (naughtily) OVERSTUFF my purse, I cannot wear it as a crossbody because the chain isn't strong enough to carry the extra weight and the middle of the purse will begin to crease. Yet, I can STILL overstuff my purse and carry it as a shoulder bag due to the double chains it has in this style of carrying. Again, I'm sure I could carry a shitzu in my purse before it gives out. OVERALL THOUGHTS I love this purse. Simple as that. It has a lot of more pros than cons. Its a versatile purse that you can wear on multiple occasions. Its functional, stylish and fits all of your necessities and then some. The biggest con to me is the tricky closure, but it doesn't deter me from using this bag every day. It isn't too big of a deal for me since it only gives me trouble ever so often, but I do hope the newer versions has an easier closure. This purse is DOLL APPROVED! The Classic The Beret The Black & White An instant charming look. The beret continues to make a statement. Choosing B&W colors will help any lady achieve a classic look. A simple, yet bold look that emulates timeless feminine elegance. A swipe of red lipstick is the perfect accessory when it comes to this ensemble. My favorite red lipstick is by Dior. Wear this ensemble with pantyhose or footed tights with thigh high boots. A Stylish Winter The Dramatic Wrap Front A bold piece that keeps a feminine touch by the dramatic puff sleeves and wrap front tie-waist. A Wardrobe Classic A tweed skirt is a staple, necessity and must-have in every lady's wardrobe. Going for prints is the perfect way to add more interest into your ensemble. My skirt in this lookbook is by Karl Lagerfeld, but unfortunately it is sold out. Yet, I found these equally gorgeous skirts that makes for a pleasing alternative. These have been on my wishlist for a while now :) The Fox This is my most favorite outwear piece for this season. This piece has an effortless elegance to it. My coat is from Sofia Cashmere. This brand holds other great cashmere pieces. This is a wool and cashmere blend coat with a fox fur collar. Giving the Boot Boots are an undebatable staple in every lady's winter wardrobe. Taller boots like these thigh-highs allow you to wear shorter skirts and dresses, while still keeping warm in the winter season. A Casual Day Out This is my go-to ensemble for running errands & going shopping. Its comfortable, looks feminine and easy to throw on. A Charming Casual Mock-neck silhouettes allows for a more elegant look without the restrictions of a turtleneck. This piece from Express is double-lined. It is comfortable and very soft to the touch. I will say, Express has a habit of creating smaller neck holes for their tops. After a couple of wears, it becomes easier to put on. Choose feminine colors for your everyday wardrobe. Elegant Layers Going for a monochromatic look always makes a statement. My blush pink trench coat with the matching blush pink mock neck top, is an easy way to look instantly chic. For cozier days I prefer a comfy, knit cardigan. My Ralph Lauren crest cardigan, I showed in the lookbook is sold out, but this soft blazer gives a similar polished look. The Very Important Staple I cannot make it through winter without my maxi-length sweater skirt. I don't wear pants at all, so I heavily rely on tall boots, thicker knit skirts and dresses to keep my legs warm. I have two of these knit skirts. One is from Express and the other one is from Max Studio, which I purchased from Nordstrom. This is another similar style. A Feminine Touch A classic bow in the hair is one of the easiest way to add a feminine touch to any ensemble. I have ribbons in multiple shades and I love it. Today, I decided to only charm my cheeks with a bit of blush. As I’ve mentioned before, Makeup isn’t necessary for the feminine and elegant look. So a simple swipe of blush on the apples of my cheeks will suffice for those long-lasting lounging days. I dressed my ponytail with a lovely light pink bow and draped my neck with a precious pearl necklace. This makes for a darling and delicate ensemble. I focus on complimenting one of my facial features (even on my no-makeup days) It doesn't take much. I know we all love the full face of makeup routine or even the 5-minute face , but this minimal approach is still enjoyable and it gets the pretty job DONE. A quick swipe of a tinted lip balm, or a little bit of blush can really make a BIG difference. Makeup is already a tool to compliment your facial features, so use to to SHOWCASE at least one. Makeup has the ability to help you look a bit more polished and put together. This leads you into a more feminine look. These are some of my favorite everyday makeup products to give me that feminine boost! 2. I practice My Feminine Walk Every Day No matter where you go, you'll appear more feminine by praticing your feminine walk. This walk emulates femininity with every step. It's graceful, confident & eye-catching. Walk with poise and elegance in mind. A nice way to think of it is to walk as if you're walking next to Audrey Hepburn. Walk as if you're entering a ball. Be intentional with your feminine walk and eventually it will become effortless. Walking in heels, whether low or high, is great way to begin to learn how to walk like a lady. 3. I follow the tale, 'Earrings make you look 10x prettier' Whether its a myth or not, earrings help you achieve a feminine and polished look. It is the accessory that I never leave my house without wearing. I wear them every day and my ensemble is incomplete without them. Its the perfect facial accessory that frames your feminine facial feautures. I highly recommend a simple pair of pearls or diamond studs as an everyday pair. Darling Pairs 4. I smile. This one is an underrated practice. Smiling instantly brightens your face. It results in a feminine, kind, guanine and friendly look. This is important since these are all FEMININE TRAITS. Hello Dolls, ucci beauty launched in 2020 and ever since then, their makeup releases has been inspired and the talk of the luxury beauty community. I finally gave in to the vintage, luxury makeup of my dreams and decided to try some Gucci's most feminine and aesthetically-pleasing beauty products. I've featured these products in multiple Housewife Diary Vlogs and most recently, in my Daily 15-minute Feminine Beauty Routine . I'll be reviewing the Gucci Poudre De Beaute Mat Naturel Face Powder & the Gucci Rouge à Lèvres Voile Sheer Lipstick. I have used these products for over 3+ months now and I've tried these products in multiple ways to give them a fair chance. Poudre De Beaute Mat Naturel Face Powder he packaging was a selling point for me. They could’ve sold actual baking flour inside of this powder compact and I would’ve been happy with it. Other than the vintage-inspired, luxurious packaging that Gucci has spoiled us with, let’s talk about the formula. This powder feels like air on the skin. It doesn’t add much coverage and it barely tones down any shine or glow. Instead it leaves your skin with a smoother, natural finish. - Claims - " A buildable face powder offering a lightweight, visibly smooth texture to create a naturally perfected complexion" Light Coverage & Natural finish Vegan & Paraben free shade: 09 - Highlighted Ingredients - Micro-reflecting Lamellar Powders: Provide a smooth application for a luminous complexion. Emollient Agents: Provide a silky, comfortable feel all day long. This product is said to be refillable, but we have yet to see Gucci launch powder refills for this product or their bronzers. This powder has minimal, small specs of micro-glitter, but it doesn’t appear on the skin. Is this my most favorite powder? No. Yet, it holds it own and fulfills it's purpose. If I would like a natural, skin-like finish then I use a powder brush to apply this product. I primarily use this powder with a brush. It's perfect for those days to where I want my skin to have a natural finish. This is also good for that no-makeup, makeup look. I don’t see this prolonging the wear of my make up or adding extra coverage. When I use it with the puff that sits in the bottom of the compact, it gives me a velvet, smooth finish with light-to-medium coverage. Out of my Dior & Pat McGrath powders, this Gucci powder compact has my favorite packaging. I will keep this as a vital part of my luxury, feminine makeup collection. shade: 09 price: $62 score: 8.5/10 SHOP HERE : Rouge à Lèvres Voile Sheer Lipstick he packaging is a feminine, floral dream, therefore I had to purchase this lipstick for aesthetic reasons. It is heavy, luxurious and a true modern gem to any vintage-makeup lover. - claims - "The creamy texture adheres to lips, leaving a soft and comfortable feel. Enriched with natural oils, lips feel smooth and moisturized." shade: Mildred Rosewood This is a sheer-style lipstick. It delivers a friendly, glossy effect with a lovely light-to-medium opacity. It's the perfect medium between a lipstick and an everyday balm. I use it as such. This color, Mildred Rosewood , makes for a gorgeous, everyday mauvey-berry lip color. This product leans more like a lipstick than a balm. It is NOT a tinted lip balm. It is more of a lipstick with a smoother, moisturizing formula. More of a balmy lipstick would be the Dior Lip Glow or the Pat Mcgrath's Lip Fetish Balm. It lasts around the same length of time as a regular lipstick. When I rush through my routine or skip my mini pampering sessions, it can cause me to feel scattered, unready, or unsuccessful with the start of my perfect mornings. Every lady should have a realistic daily beauty routine that works for her mornings. I hope my routine inspires you Dolls to set aside time for yours. Some mornings, I may take my time which can make my routine longer than 15 minutes. Yet, for the most part, I can get all of the main steps out of my routine completed at ease. Start of my Beauty Routine, begins with Hair Care To avoid potential blemishes, I tend to start with hair care, then follow with skincare. This helps wash off any hair product residue that may tread on the sides of my forehead. My weekly haircare routine involves twist outs, detail work and hours for styling. Yet, my daily haircare routine focuses on maintaining my weekly style, providing my hair with moisture and the light attention that it needs. My Tried & True : Creme of Nature Strength & Shine Leave-In Conditioner with Argan Oil I started using this product about 5 years ago & I haven't found a daily moisture spray that truly softens my curls by itself, like this one. It doesn't cause build up and it soaks into my hair very nicely. It's a perfect on-the-go hair moisturizer, especially for low-porosity hair. Super Moisture Needs : Pattern by Tracee Ellis Ross Styling Cream Rich Moisture & Definition Every other day or so, I apply this thick cream to my ends and sometimes to my hairline for extra moisture and hydration. This styling cream is great at providing a good amount of definition to the curls. This styling cream is specifically made for curly girls with tighter curls. In Need of Definition : PATTERN by Tracee Ellis Ross Strong Hold Gel Sometimes I may need to touch up my weekly hairstyle. On those days, I usually scoop a small amount of the gel, spread it on both hands and rake it through each side of my hair. For more definition, I may fingercurl individual strands with the gel. This gel grips, holds and defines my curls oh so very nicely . Let's continue with... Skincare I go into skincare next, being sure to clean my face and around my hairline. I typically use black soap for my daily cleansing. I try to keep my skincare routine concise and filled with vital and necessary products. Simple, reliable and nourishing, that is what I look for when it comes to my everyday skincare routine. CHANEL Le Gommage Anti-Pollution Exfoliating gel This is one of my new found favorites from this year. This physical exfoliator is smoothening, gentle-to-the-touch, and micro-fine. Its perfect for those mornings, where you just want to have a quick cleanse and smooth out your skin. I lightly splash my face with water, then apply a dime-size amount into my hands. I gently apply the micro-beads on my face in circular motions. Chantecaille Rosewater Facial Spray For a quick bit of hydration, I am in awe by this pure rosewater. The glass bottle permanently sits pretty on my vanity. As I walk by during the day, I'm compelled to spritz my face with this beautiful rosewater. This mixture includes Rose de Mai, along with the petal's extract and it's essential oils. Dior Prestige La Creme Texture Essentielle Moisturizer Next I apply my, all time favorite, Dior Prestige La Creme Texture Essentielle. I only need dime-size amount, which I scoop out with the Dior spatula massager tool. With soft, sweeping motions, I apply the rose-infused creme. To enhance the relaxing experience, I use the Dior spatula massager tool to massage the contours of my face and around my eyes. This 2-minute application allows me to induldge myself in spa-like experience. Finishing off with ... Makeup This is probably my favorite part of my beauty routine. In my Daily Beauty Pampering Routine video, I did my full face of everyday makeup using some of my favorite makeup products. This time I'll share my 5-makeup routine using more of my luxury makeup favorites. 1. I use my Merit The Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Foundation & Concealer Stick in shade Amber to spot conceal all over my face. This is so seamless and effortless to apply and blend. I have the option of applying powder with this cream stick 2-in-1 foundation & concealer. 2. I dot my Pat McGrath M18 concealer under my eyes and quickly blend with my fingers. One dot under each side will give me the coverage I need. 3. Next, I swirl on my Gucci powder all over my face for a natural and radiant finish. This powder is lightweight and it doesn't look like you're actually wearing powder. 4. Lastly for the complexion, I'll apply my Dior Rouge blush in Rose Montaigne 219 for a lightweight, shimmer blush look. This blush is just enough to show on my skin tone complexion which gives me a natural rosy finish. This blush also has a slight gold shift, which makes this the perfect blush and highlighter in one duo. 5. I glide my Gucci Rouge à Lèvres Voile Sheer Lipstick across the curves and center of my lips to finish of my look. My current favorite is the shade Mildred Rosewood. Et, Voila!
