Hello Dolls, In my latest Housewife Diary Vlog, I indulge in a bit of daily self-care and primping, prepare a new favorite, chipotle chicken paninis, do a bit of shopping, shop my wardrobe and more. Now I'm sharing all of the highlight products and similar items that I use in every Housewife Diary vlog. - Highlight in my Makeup Routine - The Diorskin Forever Powder Foundation. I've had mine since 2020 and I'm just finishing it. I wrote a Dior Powder Foundation review and created video review on this Holy Grail product. At the time, this was sold out and hard to find so I bought 2 of them out of fear of it being discontinued. To my surprise, Dior reformulated this powder foundation to have more naturally-derived ingredients along with more shades. I wear shade 060 in the old formulation, which pulls a bit dark on my complexion. I'm unsure of what shade I am in the new formulation, but I'm betting on 050. I used multiple eyeshadow palettes in this vlog. I would recommend all of them! Depending on your needs and occasions, one might suit you better than the other. I used the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Quad. Using that one again, I combined it with the Pat McGrath Bronze Borealis or Iconic Illumination quad. For a bit more fun, I added in the coral shade from the CT Pillow Talk 12-pan palette. As for lips, I used the PML Lust lip gloss in Sunset Rose. It is my all time favorite lip gloss formula. I dressed myself in robes throughout the week as it is my favorite style uniform as a housewife. I adore robes from In Bloom by Jonquil, but unfortunately they are sold out of the satin robe I was wearing in the vlog. They have a wonderful selection and this lace pink robe would be my next pick. At the start, I wore my plush robe with black lining from Victoria Secret. At this time, my blush plush robe currently on SALE in other colors. As I mentioned in the vlog, I've been trying out new recipes to cook at home. The lunch menu tends to have less attention than the breakfast and dinner menus. Therefore I've been trying recipes that I enjoy at restaurants when I go out. I enjoy a good panini with a salad or soup. Fun fact, I'm not the biggest fan on bigger panini press appliances made for the home. Since its just me & hubs, I don't need to make larger lunch portions. Therefore, it's best for me to buy a Cast Iron Press , see if paninis, pressed sandwiches or burgers will become apart of our menu staples, then make the choice to buy a large panini press appliance. As every good hostess, chef and homemaker knows, presentation is key. I prefer to dine on contemporary dishes for certain meals. While I enjoy traditional breakfast meals on classic dinnerware. The square dinner plates were a gift from my mother, so I found a similar modern dinnerware set for a great deal. I'm considering updating our daily dining with this set! As for daily tea time, I go for a classic white tea cup set for everyday use. This one from Bloomingdales comes with a tea cup and also a saucer. This could potentially cause sagging & misshape your purse over time. The Lady Dior pairs well with ensembles for formal occasions such as, weddings, bridal showers, Derby events, anniversaries, formal balls and other events. I'm also able to wear the Lady Dior to date nights, brunch dates, shopping trips, dressy casual rendezvous and more. Whether I'm wearing a dressy blouse and skirt, an elegant dress, or my everyday dress, the Lady Dior instantly adds regal elegance to any outfit choice. As I discussed in the 'Whats in My Bag' video, I wouldn't dress this style down in a pair of jeans & T-shirt. The handbag is far too elegant to be worn with casual clothing such as sweats or leggings. Nevertheless, I will note that the more masculine versions of the Lady Dior like the Matte Lady Dior, tends to pair better with the T-shirt & jeans look. I would still pair that outfit with a pair of J'aDior low heels to balance out the ensemble. Wear what you'd like. At the end of the day, certain outfits look better than others, and certain pieces compliment each other better. If you would like the Lady Dior, but you want a handbag that mixes well with your everyday outfits, I would recommend the Lady D-Lite. Its another variation of the classic Lady Dior, but it is made of embroidered canvas. It still holds the iconic Lady Dior shape, but with an everyday-friendly material. If you would like to keep the leather exterior, but still have a more versatile luxury handbag, I’d recommend the Medium Chanel Coco Handle in caviar leather. This one is on my luxury wishlist ;) It’s a top handle and crossbody like the Lady Dior. It’s stunning & you’re able to dress up or down due to it's simpler quilting. I would choose the Coco Handle medium in black. In my opinion, the size small doesn't fit a lot. Is it an everyday purse? In the small size, I wouldn’t say this is an everyday purse due to the size & functionality. I think of an everyday purse as being durable, carefree, and versatile. How could this be an everyday purse? This could be an everyday purse for the lady who carries only the basic essentials such as a phone, wallet, lipstick, earphones + a bonus item. If those are your everyday handbag needs, then the small Lady Dior could be your go-to. Personally, I like to have the extra space in my everyday bag. Also, I don’t want to worry about rain or getting it wet or accidentally dirtying the purse during my coffee stops & grocery runs. Usually, I like to carry a standard water bottle, my husband’s wallet (just to keep it safe 😉) and maybe a small planner to make me feel like I’m being productive, but I never actually use it. I, at least, want the option. Due to the size, you don’t get the extra option, but if these items rarely apply to you & you dress up quite often, then yes, this could be an everyday purse. If I wanted this style as an everyday purse, I would prefer the Lady Dior in the Medium size. Thoughts on the Durability? By the way, this lambskin isn’t as sensitive as the Chanel lambskin, so don’t worry too much. The lambskin is buttery smooth, but its quite durable. The only scratches I tend to notice is on the flap. In the video, I show you the wear on the flap after 3 years of use. You can only see micro-scratches and it becomes noticeable in certain light. In my opinion, it's not anything to be too concerned about. It doesn't bother me since its not very noticeable. It's just simple surface scratches. Who would I recommend this to? I would recommend this as a going-out purse, go shopping, date nights, teatime, coffee & drinks with the ladies. I wear this purse nearly anytime me & husband goes out or if I’m meeting my sister. My going-out style is more dressy casual. So whether my outfit pulls more dressy or actually dressy casual, this purse pairs well. I would highly recommend this purse to any elegant lady. To me, this is the most feminine & elegant purse in the prestigious world of classic luxury handbags. Style-wise, I see the Lady Dior as the most princessy handbag, so that caters to my feminine & girly style aspirations. This comes in different colors, materials & variations so it’s the perfect way to elevate your wardrobe, no matter your personal style. It’s like carrying around a lovely jewelry box or an art piece. If this suits your lifestyle, then I’d say it’s a great choice. Always remember how many times would you actually wear this. For any purse you buy, its important to consider cost-per-wear and pinpoint the reason why you want to buy it and your intended use for it. If you’re a mom who is constantly busy & need a catch-all, this size may not be right for you, perhaps the medium or large in lambskin or even the D-lite version. Same recommendations for the college student or everyday lady at work. Yet, if you’d like a quality, timeless ‘going-out’ purse, no matter your title, then I believe this is a great choice. In terms of my fellow housewives, I wouldn’t take this for errands, grocery store trips or farmer market runs. It’s a nice piece of luxury, so you’re naturally more careful. I would say this is a gorgeous purse that I would like to have in multiple colors & variations. Dior creates the prettiest pinks that aren’t too juvenile & a bit more romantic & versatile when matching with pinks in your wardrobe. I’d love this in velvet or satin or even in their art pieces of the Lady Dior. So, yes. The Lady Dior is doll-approved. Let's Chat, Dolls Price Increases Last year, I was thinking about purchasing another small lambskin Lady Dior in the color blush. The price at the time was $4700. Now looking at the price, a small Lady Dior is $5,600. Within a year, the price has went up by almost $1000. This isn't only unique to Dior. Chanel price increases are also a hot topic, since it increases every year and the price increased 4x times in 2021. With that being said, is the Lady Dior worth the $5,600 price tag? In all honesty, I don't believe any handbag is worth over $5000. Not even $3000. Yet, in the luxury world of luxury items, every item has a set price tag based on quality, brand, rarity, uniqueness and prestige. Based on those factors, I would purchase the small Lady Dior based on its current price. The quality of the Lady Dior is exceptional and more than that, I fancy the brand. The handbag is durable for a lambskin purse, the details are luxury itself and I find the Lady Dior to be easily functional and oh so elegant. If I had to buy only one luxury handbag in a lifetime, it would be this one. Reselling, The Investment & Buying Pre-Loved The resell value of the Lady Dior is a common conversation in the luxury handbag community. In the current market, if you try to resell your Lady Dior you shouldn't expect a full return on investment. Expect to sell it for a lower amount than what you purchased it for. Chanel handbags are infamous for reselling at the same price as it was purchased or even for a higher amount depending on the rarity and market demand. That isn't common for the Lady Dior, which bring us the question, is the Lady Dior a good investment? If you see yourself possibly reselling your Lady Dior in the future, then it may not be the best investment per say. If you're ever in a tight spot and you're in need, you can still expect the Lady Dior to sell at a decent price. Unfortunately, within the past years, it is clear that the Lady Dior does not hold it's value. That bring us to the next option. Buy new or pre-loved? Buying a gently used Lady Dior may be the better option for you if you consider the return on investment. Its common for some luxury handbag-lovers to buy rare, sold out, hard-to-find or like-new Chanel, LV, Hermes & Dior items on the resale market. After months of searching, I tracked down a rare Dior item & finally purchased it and unboxed in my 'Live a Soft Life with Me' vlog. If you choose to explore that option, be sure to purchase from a reputable website or luxury consignment store. Learn more about the process, inspect the item and be sure to request proof of authenticity. Christian Dior's Lady Dior vs. Chanel Classic Flap As many fashion students can relate, when you're starting out early in your journey, you tend to favor a fashion designer and use their story or designs as inspiration. For me, my favorite designer growing up was Christian Dior, therefore I value Dior's classic designs more dearly than others. If I decided Coco Chanel's journey, ideals and designs connected with me more, then I'd probably value and favor Chanel handbags more than the Lady Dior. At the end of the day, the emotional connection and memories impact my decision on buying luxury handbags. Some ladies view Chanel handbags as the creme de la creme, the ultimate achievement in their wardrobe, due to the glamorous movies they watched as young girls. I believe you should consider all factors, including quality, price, style, functionality, ROI, and connection, before deciding if the small Lady Dior or any handbag is 'worth it'. In my latest video, How to Live a SOFT LIFE & ROMANTICIZE Your LIFE because YOU DESERVE IT, I share my top tips to living a soft life and romanticizing your life for all feminine ladies. Let's dive deeper into ROMANTICIZING YOUR LIFE: 1. Change your mindset: 'Dress for the gig you want, not for the gig you have.' Those words have stuck with me and I try to implement this in many parts of my life. We’re not always in the position we want to be in, but if you work with what you have, you’ll be able to find joy in today. Hidden in undesirable positions and situations are little rays of light. It’s up to you to be to recognize that bit of sunshine. There was a time when I didn’t leave for college when I wanted to, and I was dreading staying home. Yet within that wait, I was able to spend my nights with my younger siblings and do all the silly things I wanted to do with them. This meant late-night cartoons, competitive video games, playing tag, eating popcorn, and laughing all night. During that wait to go off to college, my siblings were keeping me grounded, and they made me feel like a carefree child again. After my crybaby moments, I chose not to continue to sulk in that position, instead, I recognized the opportunity to create beautiful memories with my loved ones. Carpe Diem, seize the day. Now, I and my siblings look back on all those fun times and I wouldn’t trade those moments for anything. 2. When it comes to romanticizing your life, you’re choosing to put a spotlight on the everyday things in life. Events and special occasions are well…special, but who says your trip to the café can’t be the same? Who says your mornings must be dreaded and weary? Who says your dinners alone in your 1-bedroom apartment must be dull? When you’re romanticizing your life, you’re not looking for what’s next? What’s bigger? What’s better? You’re living in the moment. You’re appreciating that moment. 3. Enjoy the little things: - Little things to enjoy - Dinners at home Walking in the park Morning routine Sunday cleaning Baking favorable treats Spending time with children Lunch breaks Relaxing Bath time Little trips driving in the car 4. All the little details In my video, I asked this question: What’s the difference between a regular dinner at home and date night at home? It’s the scenery. It’s the ambiance. It’s the special attention and details that you add to make it romantic. Truly, you’re sitting in the same house, at the same dining table, sitting on the same chairs, yet it’s different due to that extra effort. What do you do for date night at home? Cook a stunning meal, perhaps 3-courses? Dim the lights Light a candle Pour a cup of wine Spray your favorite scent Play soft, relaxing music Set the table, add fresh flowers, You dress for the occasion; red lipstick is a suitable choice. So maybe you don’t do that every night, but you can still add in a couple of these elements into your daily dinner rotation. Buy flowers for the week Play your favorite music Change outfits; sometimes I wear my silk robe and put on a tinted lip balm and that does it for me Light your favorite candle Spray on a soft, evening fragrance Use an extra 1-minute from your day to set the scene in those regular, yet precious moments in your life. The turning of the summer season requires new beauty must-haves to cater to our seasonal needs. Shall we begin? Cream Blush Okay Dolls, any cream blush with the PML foundation is a pure modelesque, perfect-skin dream. My current favorite is the Shiseido Minimalist whipped powder blush in the perfect pinky coral color in Sonoya 1. If you can find it, buy it! Its been going in & out of stock for the past couple of months now. I’m afraid it may be discontinued soon! It’s lightweight, velvety and melts in the skin beautifully. It’s buildable so you can really apply it lightly for that barely-there, natural makeup look or you can go full Kawaii-girl blush without looking crazy. I used this blush in my 6 am Housewife Morning Routine Vlog. The Westman Atelier blush cream stick is another great selection. I have it in the color Poppet. Watch My 15-minute Feminine Beauty routine to see it in action. My next cream blush on my wishlist is the LYS matte cream blush in ANY color. I’ve swatched their shades & their formula seems unique & yummy! Either way, cream blush melts into your skin and gives you a naturally flushed look. I even wear it on my no-foundation days. I can’t do without it this summer! Sunscreen And now I’m a believer. Honestly, I remained unbothered about applying sunscreen every day. I come from a family of islanders & southerners, where both climates get HOT. I only knew of one aunt who wore sunscreen every day. So, sunscreen wasn’t a priority for me unless I decided to go to the beach. Ever since my esthetician gave me sunscreen after getting a TCA peel, I have really seen the difference when it comes to dark spots after acne marks. (BTW my skin has been HEALTHILY GLOWING after that TCA Peel, amen! I’ll share more about my experience in my next vlog) Now, I don’t leave the house without a quick sunscreen application. I’ve been using my esthetician’s brand, but since running out I’ve used the Innisfree sunscreen. Foundation This is what healthy skin looks like. I was daring enough to wear the PML sublime perfection foundation without setting it with powder and……I loveWith or without powder, your skin looks healthy, glowing & like skin. This has swooped in as my go-to foundation. It’s lightweight but gives a beautiful finish and it’s buildable for more coverage. I would say this foundation leans more towards the medium-light coverage. Not exactly medium coverage and not exactly light coverage. This is perfect for the summer season. Lash extensions So, this is an obvious beauty staple for me, and I recommend lash extensions for all seasons. Yet, the summer calls for easy, care-free beauty fun, and lash extensions cater to that lifestyle. I used to be a strip lash girl, but I can’t be bothered with that maintenance, especially during the spontaneous summer days & nights. You can go for a lighter ‘’classic’ set for the lighter and natural look or you can go for my go-to, the hybrid set. Hybrid lashes are the perfect medium between the light and the full set of lashes. It’s appropriate for work, play, and planned rendezvous. Every 2-3 weeks, you will have to get refills to keep up the look or you can do one-and-done lash extensions for holidays, vacations & special events. Lipstick I could definitely go for a tinted lip oil + lip liner combo for the summer season, BUT there’s something about a nude matte lip that still captures me. These two opposite lip combos fight for me every day. I do make a choice based on my mood and outfit. The Dior Nude Look 100, is a darling lipstick choice for the summer season. A matte lip gives a chic finish to any look. I pair this lipstick with a burgundy-brown lip liner et voila! Summer nude chicness in 2 easy steps. Sometimes I even pair this lip combo with a shiny lip gloss if my spirit beckons for it. Summer fragrance Jasmin des Anges by Maison DIOR gives me the feminine urge to go on a summer Museum date and let the romance blossom over a dinner ONLY if he greets me with cream-colored roses. Not white roses, butcream. This could easily be a signature fragrance for any feminine lady. It’s sexy, soft, sweet, and alluring. You can wear this parfum day or night. Dior says: The fragrance Jasmin des Anges is like a stroll through the fields of jasmine in Grasse, where the scent of the flower fills the air. This fragrance is rooted in the south of France and echoes the name of the legendary Baie des Anges in Nice. Its fragrance trail lingers in the air like the late summer. Hello Dolls, A basket of warm & soft homemade biscuits on the dining table is the perfect way to start of my morning. It’s also a warm & welcoming treat, that will impress the family during breakfast get-togethers & gatherings. Be sure to watch my Slow Living Homemaking Vlog for a demonstration of how I make these heartwarming, crowd-pleasing biscuits. WATCH: How to Make HOMEMADE SOUTHERN BUTTERMILK BISCUITS! This is originally a recipe from ‘The Magnolia Table’ by Joanna Gaines, but I’ve tweaked the recipe to suit my fancy. PREP 20mins (plus at least 30 minutes chilling) BAKE 15-20mins COOL 5mins if you can wait that long ;) 5 cups of self-rising flour 3 sticks of salted butter (3/4 cups) 2 tablespoons baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 tablespoon of salt 2 large eggs (plus 1 large egg for brushing 1 1 1/2 cups of buttermilk Whisk the flour, baking powder and baking soda together in a large bowl. Then cut & add the butter into the large bowl. Mix together until the butter pieces are even and well combined with the flour mixture. Add the beaten eggs into the mixture until combined. Stir in buttermilk which should create a sticky dough mass. (Add in 1 tbsp at a time if dough mass is too dry) Cover the large bowl & refrigerate for at least 30 minutes & up to overnight. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Flour your work surface & flour your hands before working with the sticky dough. (Be sure to have a wide countertop space) Place & flatten dough on floured work surface. Use a floured 2 1/4-inch round cutter (or a floured plastic cup) to cut about 20 biscuits. Place the biscuits on the lined baking sheet, arranging them to touch. Take a small dish and add 1 tablespoon of buttermilk and the remaining egg. Brush this mixture on top of the biscuits. Bake until golden brown for about 15-20 minutes. et voila! Delicious homemade southern buttermilk biscuits to grace your dining table. Enjoy these biscuits with jam, jelly, honey, gravy or use them for a biscuit-style chicken pot pie! Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Hello Dolls, Learning to value my things and personal areas of my home has really helped me. As I mentioned in my Homemaking Habits video, taking care of my items ranked low on my To-Do list, compared to my other homemaking tasks. As a housewife, its very easy to put other things before your own. In my Day in the Life of a Housewife Vlog, I shared my thoughts along with cleaning and organizing my personal feminine space. Before I would put cleaning my vanity, below cleaning my husband's study, vaccuuming the living room or organizing my pantry. Sounds small, but this mindset continued and I eventually always ranked my things and areas of my home at the bottom of my To-Do list. This lead to my things in need of long-time, overdue maintenance . It also lead me to spend less time with my loved items & spaces. AND the worst one, especially for my husband's wallet, it lead me to want MORE & MORE NEW THINGS! I realized, since I wasn't caring for my things as needed, I started to spend less time with them. It wasn't as appealing to me as when I first bought them. I was ready to move onto the next new shiny thing. This happened with my makeup (the packaging really needed a good touch up), the tangled necklaces in my jewelry box and my headache of a closet which became less and less functional for me. Shoes were jumbled and hidden in random shoe boxes that I forgot about. This led me to yearn for the latest 'newer styles' which didn't turn out to be as unique in my closet as I thought it would be. This was ALL because I chose to ignore my personal feminine spaces & things around my home, since everything else is much more important. I would tell myself, 'yeah, I'll get to that by the end of this week', but then the weekend would come and go. Then it would be pushed back to next week, and the next and the next. Slowly, but surely, I felt like my once adored vanity space & reading area needed a MAJOR UPGRADE or a renovation of sorts. Yet, it really needed weekly maintainanece like every other area of my home. If I can torture myself, I mean prep myself, to reorganize my pantry every week, then I can also make time to reorganize my vanity drawers, vacuum my rug in my reading area or wipe the makeup smudges off of my makeup packaging. et Voila! The makeup looks new again, the room looks refreshed and I'm able to be grateful for what I have. Instead of looking up new shiny items to add into my space, I look for more functional (but still cute of course) pieces to enhance my everyday use of the area or items. Hello Dolls, ucci beauty launched in 2020 and ever since then, their makeup releases has been inspired and the talk of the luxury beauty community. I finally gave in to the vintage, luxury makeup of my dreams and decided to try some Gucci's most feminine and aesthetically-pleasing beauty products. I've featured these products in multiple Housewife Diary Vlogs and most recently, in my Daily 15-minute Feminine Beauty Routine. I'll be reviewing the Gucci Poudre De Beaute Mat Naturel Face Powder & the Gucci Rouge à Lèvres Voile Sheer Lipstick. I have used these products for over 3+ months now and I've tried these products in multiple ways to give them a fair chance. Poudre De Beaute Mat Naturel Face Powder he packaging was a selling point for me. They could’ve sold actual baking flour inside of this powder compact and I would’ve been happy with it. Other than the vintage-inspired, luxurious packaging that Gucci has spoiled us with, let’s talk about the formula. This powder feels like air on the skin. It doesn’t add much coverage and it barely tones down any shine or glow. Instead it leaves your skin with a smoother, natural finish. - Claims - "A buildable face powder offering a lightweight, visibly smooth texture to create a naturally perfected complexion" Light Coverage & Natural finish Vegan & Paraben free shade: 09 - Highlighted Ingredients - Micro-reflecting Lamellar Powders: Provide a smooth application for a luminous complexion. Emollient Agents: Provide a silky, comfortable feel all day long. This product is said to be refillable, but we have yet to see Gucci launch powder refills for this product or their bronzers. This powder has minimal, small specs of micro-glitter, but it doesn’t appear on the skin. Is this my most favorite powder? No. Yet, it holds it own and fulfills it's purpose. If I would like a natural, skin-like finish then I use a powder brush to apply this product. I primarily use this powder with a brush. It's perfect for those days to where I want my skin to have a natural finish. This is also good for that no-makeup, makeup look. I don’t see this prolonging the wear of my make up or adding extra coverage. When I use it with the puff that sits in the bottom of the compact, it gives me a velvet, smooth finish with light-to-medium coverage. Out of my Dior & Pat McGrath powders, this Gucci powder compact has my favorite packaging. I will keep this as a vital part of my luxury, feminine makeup collection. shade: 09 price: $62 score: 8.5/10 SHOP HERE: Rouge à Lèvres Voile Sheer Lipstick he packaging is a feminine, floral dream, therefore I had to purchase this lipstick for aesthetic reasons. It is heavy, luxurious and a true modern gem to any vintage-makeup lover. - claims - "The creamy texture adheres to lips, leaving a soft and comfortable feel. Enriched with natural oils, lips feel smooth and moisturized." shade: Mildred Rosewood This is a sheer-style lipstick. It delivers a friendly, glossy effect with a lovely light-to-medium opacity. It's the perfect medium between a lipstick and an everyday balm. I use it as such. This color, Mildred Rosewood, makes for a gorgeous, everyday mauvey-berry lip color. This product leans more like a lipstick than a balm. It is NOT a tinted lip balm. It is more of a lipstick with a smoother, moisturizing formula. More of a balmy lipstick would be the Dior Lip Glow or the Pat Mcgrath's Lip Fetish Balm. It lasts around the same length of time as a regular lipstick. It will slightly fade with a couple sips or a few of bites to eat. Its nice to wear when you're having one of those dry lip days and you don't want to apply a regular lipstick to make it worse. This is a product that brings glamour into your everyday makeup routine. It sits darling on my vanity and its reliable in my handbag when I'm on the go. Overall, this product isn't a big necessity, but oh, it is quite lovely to have. If you're not elated about the balmy lipsticks, that act more as a tinted balm rather than a moisturizing lipstick, then this one will be a delight. shade: 203 Mildred Rosewood, burgundy rosewood sheer price: $42 score: 9/10 SHOP HERE: Overall, I'm impressed by the product I've tried from Gucci Beauty. From the weighty packaging, to the impressive formula to the unique design, each product is a true luxurious experience. I will most likely repurchase these items again. You can see these feminine hobbies in action during my Housewife Diary Vlogs. I ensure that my daily life schedule has a proper time for me to dedicate my time to myself and interests. Watch my TOP 10 Feminine Hobbies featuring clips of the feminine hobbies in action from my Housewife Diary Vlogs! Feminine hobbies should be realistic and practical in your life. That should help you avoid starting a new hobby, but then never continuing it. When it comes to feminine hobbies, you want to be intentional about it. Yet, you never want it to be forceful, where a feminine hobby doesn't fit your schedule or it doesn't excite you as much as you thought it would. So, I encourage you to stick to feminine hobbies that naturally spark your interest. Consider a couple of these feminine hobbies that may take you out of your comfort zone. Try a new feminine hobby at least 2x before crossing it off of your list. Remember to choose one that works for you & your lifestyle. Some of these feminine hobbies are ones that you'd do 1x a week, multiple times a week, or even once a month. Keep your mind open and keep your schedules open too! Be sure to choose at least 3 new feminine hobbies. Try to get a good diversity of feminine hobbies, from a daily hobby, to a weekly hobby, or even a monthly one. Sewing This is a traditional hobby that you won't regret starting. Whether its hand sewing or using a sewing machine, this is a hobby that you begin and the outside world is shut out until you finish. I highly recommend you starting off with a small project like making a pillowcase, table runner or placemats. Get a hang out of the basics before committing to garment construction. Knitting In the same family as sewing, knitting isn't only for the fall and winter season. You could also knit table mats and table runners. Crocheting Knitting's sister and the cousin to sewing, crocheting is another alternative to the other creation-makers. You can also make heartwarming home decor or lightweight garments for the spring and summer season . Calligraphy A woman's penmanship is less-talked about, but it can say a lot about a lady. Consider taking up the art of calligraphy and have fun creating postcards, writing letters, or creating art for your home. Cooking A life skill for us all, but an exceptional talent that makes a lady shine. If you're new to cooking, start of with your country's classics or your home's daily favorites made by mom or grandma. Baking If you have a sweet tooth, then this one is perfect! Knowing how to create at least one good dessert is essential. I have easy & beginner-friendly baking recipes on the blog. You'll often see me bake during the Housewife Diary Vlogs. Consider taking a baking class to kickstart your baking journey! Blogging Share your interests, write out your thoughts or opinions and inspire others! With proper planning, you could turn your blog into a business. Horseback Riding An active hobby is widely needed for all feminine ladies. It's good exercise, its relaxing and you have the opportunity to bond with the horse and learn how to properly care for it. Flower Arrangements A feminine woman is notably compared to a flower. Creating flower arrangements is a fun chance to beautify your home, learn about new flowers and exert your creativity. Done within 15 minutes depending on your bouquet size. Volunteering Mentor and help younger girls in your area. Be a good example for them by being your best feminine self! Reading Lower your phone & pick up a book! Join a book club, in-person or online, which is a good way to meet others. This year, I'll be starting a book club for us feminine ladies! Subscribe to stay updated on new announcements for the book club! Decorating Choosing small areas of your home to decorate can be a relaxing and creative feminine hobby! Hairstyling This is another beauty interest that you can turn into a hobby. Just like with the makeup, you can attend seminars, live shows and classes demonstrating this feminine hobby! Nail Design Another therapeutic beauty interest that you can spend parts of your week doing. Start off with regular polish or learn how to do nail art, acrylic nails or gel. Plus, you'll be able to save money every month rather than going to the salon ;) Another traditional hobby that every feminine lady should try. You don't have to have a full garden forest. It only takes one plant to start! Makeup The process of applying makeup is quite therapeutic for many and it can be an act of self-care. Get to learn what compliments your facial features! I have many luxury beauty recommendations and videos with me applying my favorite makeup products! Ballet A true feminine and elegant art form, which can help you become more in tune with your body. If you've always been interested in ballet, consider taking a beginner class! Learn the basics and have a good exercise. Interior Design Planning This is a hobby that may turn into a business! Start with your own home, take on a position part-time, or help others! Go deeper into interior design by learning the basics about putting together a breathtaking room. Organizing A feminine woman is organized and polished, so why not sharpen your organizing skills. As I state in my previous blog post, learning how to be organized can create a refreshing and aesthetically-pleasing ambiance in your home. Read books about organizing and tidying up! Ballroom Dancing A classic form of dance that has been somewhat lost in this modern world. Consider taking a weekly class or a one-time monthly class! As a feminine and elegant woman its important to learn how to properly ballroom dance. Cake Decorating A fun reward to baking! Bake your own cake or practice with a store-bought cake. Cake Decorating can be done alone or with your loved ones! Painting Acrylic, watercolor, oil, painting can be very relaxing and a creative way to express your feelings. Painting classes are becoming more and more popular! Drawing If you have a knack for drawing, don't dismiss this a feminine hobby! Sharpen your skills and create art for your home or loved ones. Refurbishing Furniture This is a good form of exercise depending on the size of your furniture piece. I had a friend who refurbished furniture for fun with her sister and due to their popularity, they turned it into a business! Their pieces were even sold in local stores. Another feminine sport that you shouldn't knock until you try it! I went to a women's golf event and I was able to meet other ladies and have a bit of fun with a sport I wasn't familiar playing. Tablescape design Creating table arrangements is one of my favorite seasonal feminine hobbies. As you've seen in my Housewife Diary Vlogs, I have so much fun planning, shopping and decorating my dining room table for all 4 seasons. Event planning If you light up when it comes to the thought of planning a birthday party, special dinner or wedding, consider taking up event planning! This could turn into a career or you can look for a part-time position at a locally-owned event planning business. Scrapbooking One of the best ways to capture a memory, an experience and paint a scenery around the photo to encapsulate the feelings involved. I highly recommend you do this for your wedding day, college or high school years, special vacations or any other momentous occasions! Journaling Start your own bullet journal, diary or personal thoughts! Dedicate time out of your schedule to spend a couple of hours journaling. Card-making Show gratitude and love to your loved ones by creating holiday cards, thank you cards, or family newsletters. Writing Such a fine feminine hobby that causes you to slow down and reflect on your day, thoughts or feelings. Photography Just as I enjoy taking pictures for my blog, I also enjoy taking nature pictures in the park. Choose your subject, get inspiration from Pinterest and set aside weekly time to explore a new area and take your pictures! Videography Start a YouTube channel of your own, create a short-film or edit videos for others! Another hobby that may turn into a business! You can buy candle-making kits to get started and enjoy your homemade candles during your self-care routine. Collecting Antiques or other interests Collecting dainty things of personal interests is a thoughtful feminine hobby. Antiques, vintage makeup, magazines, jewelry or pieces of home decor is a treasure hunt can dedicate your time to. Soapmaking Infuse your soaps with flowers, essential oils or milk and enjoy them at home or gift them to a loved one. Tea creation - The art of tea is a beautiful thing to learn. To take ot a step further, create your own tea blends and host a tea party! Perfumery You can make essential oil-based perfumes or perfumes from scratch! A similar way to enjoy perfumes is by purchasing vintage perfume bottles and filling them with you favorite fragrance! Tennis One of my favorite active feminine hobbies. Join a tennis club whether you’re a beginner or experienced, find a partner & incorporate exercise in you schedule! Styling Piecing together outfits for yourself or others is a darling way to learn about color theory & allows you to get to know your body type! Embroidery The other distant cousin to sewing, knitting & crocheting! Create gorgeous, feminine creations on new pieces or old clothing to revive it! Us, as feminine ladies, must prioritize caring and loving ourselves, while continuing to have a passion to grow and become well-rounded, feminine ladies. Today, I'll be expanding on certain focuses that feminine ladies should prioritize this year. Focus on your Weaknesses. here may be a weakness that is holding you back from growing in your femininity. For some is temper, lack of self-control, attitude, lack of etiquette, an unfiltered mouth and the list goes on. You want to feel feminine by dressing up very prettily, but you want to be feminine overall. Focus on finding the solution for your weaknesses this year. In result, you'll yield great results within your femininity, relationships and more. Incorporate Femininity in Big and Small Ways. hile on your femininity journey, its very easy to gravitate to updating your wardrobe with feminine clothing, experimenting with makeup and other exciting femininity journey planning. All of those things are pretty fun parts of your journey. Yet, it's important to incorporate feminine outings and hobbies into your life. This could be caring your younger family members, which is tuning into the nurturing part of being feminine, taking a class on traditional life skills like cooking or sewing, or even attending events that are primarily focused on women, like bridal fairs or women-owned business events. Hello Dolls, It is a New Year and oh, will it be a great one. Every year, I like to focus on getting better & better every year. Many of us would love the idea of having a upgrading in our lives this year. Sounds pretty nice to me. Yet, its more than just wishing for it, it's about making it a reality. In one of my first video uploads for 2022, I share my Top 10 Tips to Upgrading Your Life this year, next year and so on. To get the first 10 Tips, Watch It HERE! To ensure you have an Arsenal of ways to reach your upgraded life, I'm going to share MORE tips with you here. 11. Plan Goals that are Realistic, Reasonable & Significant in Your Life. It's so easy to fall into the trap of keeping up with the Joneses, ESPECIALLY when they're showing off their Instagram-worthy life. Yet, look around you. Who are you truly competing with? The fun thing about social media, is the fact that you can unfollow, unsubscribe someone & poof! they magically disappear. Even in your real life, make sure that you focus on what's truly important. Yes, luxury items & experiences are divine, but ensure that your life of quality is in all parts of your life. Splurge here, save there, but overall focus on making & accomplishing goals that will put you in a better position in life. 12. Don't Always Depend on People to Have a Good Time with You! If you want to start living an upgrade & interesting life, you most likely want to indulge yourself in new experiences & things. Often times when it comes to events, parties, outings & traveling, we like to have a buddy there with us to enjoy the experience. I am the SAME WAY! Yet, not everyone will be as excited as you to spend money in all the same ways that you want to. People may make plans with you, then cancel. Therefore, you shouldn't be too dependent on others to have a good time. Plan times to step out of your comfort zone & do something alone. Attend that event that you've been wanting to go to in a solo fashion. Go to a coffee shop alone, go to shopping alone, perhaps dinner. Get yourself comfortable with not allowing other people's hesitation & lack of dependability hold you back from living life. BE SAFE! Having a friend along with you, is a bit of a safety net, so chose your solo adventures carefully. 13. Get a Mentor If you're more about upgrading your life, career-wise or relationship-wise, then consider finding a mentor. This could be an official mentor or an unofficial one. I've personally have had mentors in my life that happen naturally and other times to where it was planned. Either way, I was able to receive advice, guidance and tips from older, wise individuals who genuinely care about me accomplishing my goals. There is something different about having someone who is dedicated to helping you to their best abilities. Friends & families could turn into mentors. There's also the options of joining a program dedicated to assigning mentors to young individuals and professionals. Either way, give it a try and I promise you, you will learn something new and beneficial. 14. Limit Your Screen Time Social media, watching TV, or playing games, is one of our many favorite past-times. Yet, make sure you're not spending too much time obsessing over things that don't really matter. Use those outlets to become inspired, connect with others or be entertained for a portion of time, but don't make it a HUGE part of your life in an unhealthy way. Prioritize off-screen time, by starting a new hobby, checking those items off your TO-DO list, spending time with family or plan something that you've always been wanting to do. 15. Grow in Your Faith Along with your upgraded life journey, your spiritual journey is personal and significant. Getting to know God can help you realize what's truly important in life. By building a solid relationship with God, it can be revealed what goals really matter to you. Self-realization, realizing my priorities and discovering my purpose, are a few blessings that I've experienced since I found Jesus. What God has in store for you, is always greater than your own plans. It's not only about receiving blessings, but also serving God and dedicating your life to Him.
